About Dr. Terry Johnson

Dr. Terry Johnson is a licensed psychologist with over 20 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and their families.  Dr. Johnson earned her bachelor's degree from Emory University and her master's and doctorate from Tulane University.  Her professional experience includes appointments in the Psychology department and The Parenting Center at Children's Hospital as well as Mercy Family Center, where she was Director of the autism program.  She then became director of The Chartwell Center.  Dr. Johnson launched her private practice in 2009.  

Dr. Johnson performs diagnostic assessments and consults with parents, schools, and children in regards to developmental, learning, and behavioral challenges.  She has particular expertise in working with children with autism spectrum disorders, including Aspergers disorder.  Dr. Johnson has conducted numerous trainings and workshops for parents, teachers, and professionals.  She is the co-leader of a monthly support group for parents of children with autism spectrum disorders.
